ARMED SECURITY OFFICER TRAINING
In the States of Alabama and Georgia, an armed security officer will need 14 - 30 hours of initial Firearm Safety training. He or she will need to pass a qualifying course at the firearm range as part of training. RENAM Security Training provides these approved courses. CLIENTS MUST BRING their qualifying weapon with a box of appropriate rounds (unloaded with the slide or barrel open) to the security training class.

UNARMED SECURITY OFFICER TRAINING
ALABAMA
Eight hours of initial training is required for unarmed security guard licensure.
GEORGIAUnarmed security guards must receive at least 24 hours of instruction.
Security Guard License Recertification / Renewal
This class is the Alabama Security Regulatory Board-approved course.
It includes four hours of additional Firearm Safety
Training and Range Qualification.
